Scouting for a brighter climate
Category:

Lancashire County Council wanted to find a way to make the scout and girlguide movement more aware of climate change and encourage them to play their part in making a difference.
So when the council approached Ainsworth & Parkinson for ideas, the agency set about creating a pack that could be adapted to every group within the movement – from Beavers and Rainbows, Brownies and Cubs, right through to Senior Guides and the Scout Network.
The result was the Climate Change Resource Pack. This bright, appealing folder addresses key climate change issues through activity sheets that are fun, accessible, and relevant to all age groups. Each sheet increases in complexity according to the group it’s aimed at, and for every sheet a member completes they earn an achievement badge, which adds extra incentivisation.
The Resource Pack has been enthusiastically received by the council and the groups themselves, which is a rewarding result all round.
