DAF Trucks Dealer Websites
DAF Trucks UK were concerned that websites for their UK dealer network did not reflect the DAF main brand accurately, and often lacked the most up to date information. However, they did not want to take away the individuality of each dealership site and the way that it communicated with the customer. A solution that combined the best of both was clearly required.
The Brief
DAF asked A&P to create a new corporate website for UK distributors that allowed DAF to update information centrally across all dealer websites, while still allowing each dealership to personalise their site with locations, staff profiles and contact details.
The new site was to be branded uniformly across all dealerships, in line with the parent websites in the UK and Holland.
The Production
A&P created a website structure that reflected the DAF corporate identity and included a content management system for dealer use. This allowed local dealerships to not only personalise their individual site, but also to list their used vehicle stock and promote special, dealer-specific offers.
The new website was supported by a comprehensive user manual written by the agency. This was created to be user-friendly, enabling dealer administration staff to easily understand and access the system, as this was crucial to the success of the new sites.
A&P assisted in the sourcing and purchase of appropriate web addresses for dealers and also hosted all the sites.
We continue to offer ongoing support for the web network, with a helpline for all operators and regular maintenance of the site.
The Result
All DAF UK websites now share a common look and feel, consistent with the DAF branding. Each site is also constantly updated with the latest product information and news feeds from DAF.
This means that all the information provided by DAF websites across the UK is accurate and up to date.
